Experiments in science, rhythm in music, socratic discussions in English lit, differing philosophies in Bible class, industrialization at the turn of the century, American Sign Language, learning the alphabet letters "c" and "s," the state of Hawaii, variables in math...there is a feast at our learning table and our students are getting their fill!
During this morning's chapel at Arrows, we all enjoyed an impromptu visit to Kokee Tea near campus to read Max Lucado's "You are Special," a book for all ages. It was a great reminder to live not for the opinions of an impersonal "they," but instead for our Maker who has made us victorious in Him.
In that same vein, during upper school's Friday runs Arrows teachers are reinforcing with the students their true identity as winners and certainly, like our mascot, Champions at Arrows!
I'm reminded as parents and teachers that we should also speak encouraging words over ourselves to model right thinking and right living to the next generation.
Victors...Winners...Champions...In Christ this IS our identity!
