OUR APPROACH
OVERVIEW
FAITH FIRST
All aspects of our program are built on the foundation of our faith in Christ Jesus and the Truth of His Word. Motivated by Jesus' love for us, we will daily challenge our students to know Christ and live for Him.
ACADEMICS
To that end, ACS seeks to provide a solid, educational foundation that equips our students to develop a love of learning--for life.
CHARACTER
As students gain knowledge, ACS seeks to inspire our students onto maturity through the pursuit of wisdom and development of character in and outside the classroom.
WHOLE PERSON
As our students discover their unique, God-given talents and abilities, we will encourage them to cultivate those gifts--whatever they may be--and grow up to glorify their Maker and fulfill their destiny in Him.
IN THE CLASSROOM

Reading
Our phonics-based curriculum provides a solid foundation for our youngest students to grow into confident readers. We also weave classical literature into our curriculum.

Critical Thinking
By studying Logic and participating in discussion-based classes, our students learn how to be discerning and think for themselves.

Writing
No matter what field your student pursues, being equipped to communicate well through the written word is a must. Beginning with an understanding of basic English grammar, students will move from creating organized sentences to crafting well-formatted paragraphs. They will work their way toward producing carefully thought-out essays.

Worldview
ACS is passionate about equipping its students with an understanding of the knowledge and wisdom only found in God's Word. Passing on a Biblical Christian worldview is foundational to our program.

Computational Skills
With an understanding of what is needed for higher level math, we work backward to ensure our students are equipped with strong computational skills necessary to excel in basic and upper levels of arithmetic.

Well-Rounded
As a Christian school, we seek to educate the mind and nurture the body, soul and spirit. We recognize there are valuable lessons to be learned in chapel, in the art or music lab, and on the playground and ballfields.
